Struck By, Caught Between - Staying Out of the Line of Fire
Course Overview
According to OSHA, two of the most frequently severe types of construction incidents are being either struck by or caught in or between materials and equipment. This course focuses on the steps workers can take to stay out of the line of fire and avoid being struck by or caught in or between hazards at work, including hazard awareness, prevention and control, with an emphasis on taking personal responsibility for safety. Ideal learners are construction workers.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- State different types of controls to address struck-by and caught-in/caught-between hazards
- Describe worker-level controls for a variety of line-of-fire hazards
