Course Overview
This lesson will help you recognize the impact of noise on your hearing, the warning signs of hearing loss, and the noise exposure limits that necessitate hearing protection. This lesson will also introduce you to the types of hearing protectors, including their benefits and proper use, and address your responsibilities in supporting your employer's hearing conservation program.
Upon successful completion of this course, you should have a better understanding of how to:
- Identifying how noise in the workplace affects hearing and the hazards and warning signs associated with hearing loss
- Recognizing the noise exposure limits that necessitate hearing protection
- Identifying the type of hearing protectors
- Understanding the benefits of hearing protectors
- Understanding the proper use, and maintenance of hearing protectors
- Recognizing how you and your employer can work together to prevent hearing loss
